My name is Drisana McFadden and I'm a middle school teacher who, after 20 years in a classroom, has discovered a love and passion for cooking. I also wanted a way to naturally heal myself of psoriasis, arthritis pain and migraines.
This desire led me to a school called The Academy Of Culinary Nutrition and the desire to help people heal themselves through the use of food, not pharmaceuticals. In December of 2018, I officially became a certified Culinary Nutrition Expert. In June of 2019, I also received my certification as a Nutritional Coach through NASM to add to my repertoire as a personal trainer.
Becoming a Culinary Nutrition Expert allows me to research medical conditions and the foods that help prevent or reverse these conditions. It also allows me to develop recipes as well as meal plans that will help heal one's body.
Through this blog, I hope to inspire other people to get into the kitchen with their families and to cook delicious, nutritious meals that can be share around the family dinner table.
